The Amazon rainforest is one of the most beautiful forest in the world. It seems from some incredible animal home frogs that they came straight from a sci-fi movie to a more enthusiastic bird - and are currently burning at a record rate. We have found some of the most interesting people who are facing devastation and damage as their homes are destroyed by deadly fires and smoke.
The Poto
Potato Camouflage Master - What does the branch look like with outstretched legs? Potatoes are interesting animals in both appearance and behavior.
These are tropical nocturnal birds that hunt at night and sleep during the day. Potts have a variety of colors that make them extremely difficult to find in the wild because they blend so well with the bark. This evolution allows them to save comfort and energy for insect prey.
Pink River Dolphin
Known as the Amazon River Dolphin, the pink dolphin thrives on freshwater and is characterized by its pink color and point rostrum. The river dolphin (also known as 'Boto') is gray on all sides when it is born and gradually retains its pink color as it grows.
Pink river dolphins don’t eat peaks and enjoy fun on top of turtles, crabs, shrimp and several species of fish.
Glass frog
These little boys were dubbed “glass frogs” because their transparent bellies let their limbs look. It looks like something you'll see on Trippy's sci-fi flick, but the glass frogs are real.
They usually have green skin on the margins of their body but colorless, they have clear skin on the ventral sides. You will find them in moist forests throughout Central and South America
The Black Cayman
Krishnachaitanyas are a hunting predator that feed on big numbers of fish, reptiles and rats (like capybaras). Some males grow 13 feet long from light to tail and larger specimens are known to be aggressive and aggressive towards humans.
The black consciousness looks like an American alligator but has a body shape that ranges from light striped black and white to slightly light spotted black.
Capibara
Capibara is the largest rust in the world and is closely related to the guinea pig.
Capybaras have naturally dry skin so living near water sources is essential for their well-being. And since these guys eat plants they depend on water to maintain their food source.
They may not see it but Capibara is a great swimmer and the hunter is able to hold their breath for five minutes at a time to wait.
Giant River Otter
The giant river otter is much larger than the standard otter - it can grow up to a foot in length, and the largest recorded otter can weigh up to a final pound, although scientists have speculated that it contains much larger than yet.
The otters of the giant river are born completely covered in wool; These include their snouts, making them one of the very few mammals to have a hairy nose.
Jesus lizard
The Jesus lizard, more scientifically known as a basilisk, was aptly named for its ability to run on the surface of water.
Jesus is related to the lizard Iguana and prefers to live near water to easily escape the onslaught of a predator (and there is a couple of predators who threaten this little man with predators, snakes and some fish birds).
These lizards can weigh up to 1.3 pounds and grow up to 2 feet tall.
Spider monkey
This primate has the ability to use its tail as a fifth organ - an evolutionary development that allows it to move easily and quickly through trees and dense vegetation.
Spider monkey tails are strong and adept at gripping, so that they are able to support the full weight of the monkey while hanging from a branch.
These boys survive in groups of about 35 but graze in small circles. They are wary of humans (because of prey) and for breaking tree branches and throwing them at people.
Red-bellied Piranhas
Piranhas have a bad reputation for being mischievous, but the truth is, they keep it to themselves and only get excited during a feeding frenzy.
In reality, people don't have to worry too much about dying from piranha bites - according to the Smithsonian, a school of these fish would not attack large prey like humans or capybaras unless told to do so.
Parents tortoise
Matamata is native to South America and can be found in the Amazon and Orinoco river basins.
This tortoise is unique in appearance, not to mention the diamond-shaped pointed snot for its exciting carapace and tight skin.
The Smithsonian states that Matamatas "prefers aquatic and slow-moving, shallow water currents, waterlogging, and soft, clay bottles of wetlands," but that it is also found in the shallows of the Amazon River.
Peanut Head Bug
Peanut head bugs were named because their heads resembled peanuts without a sheet.
Since this critic does not have the ability to bite or sting, it needs other defenses to prevent predators from eating it.
Michigan State University notes that the large red and black spots on the underwear of the peanut head bug are "big eyes when the bug spreads its wings."
Poison Dart Frog
Poisonous Dart Frogs may be small but they are also incredibly deadly. To prevent predators from eating them, the minute animal is vibrantly colored and spotted (a phenomenon known as aposetic coloring).
According to National Geographic, a golden dart frog has "enough venom to kill 10 born humans."
